ABOUT THE ROLE
This role will be based initially at Burwash in East Sussex. You will then be required to support at our other locations from time to time within the region: Uckfield, Shoreham on Sea, Henfield, and Wadhurst. Mileage will be paid from your base home. As a Peripatetic Deputy General Manager (Clinical) at Barchester, you'll travel across your region to manage and develop the teams in various care homes, helping us deliver the high-quality care and service we're known for. Working closely with the General Manager or hiring manager, you'll help implement action plans that ensure our residents' needs are met. Taking on leadership duties in the absence of the General Manager, you can expect to help with everything from care standards to motivating your team. You'll inspire a multidisciplinary team to ensure they help every resident enjoy the best possible quality of life. This means leading by example and monitoring standards through regular audits, supervised clinical practice, and checking our regulatory compliance. You'll set the highest standards and draw on your skills to develop and deliver strategies that will help you achieve your goals. ABOUT YOU To join us as a Peripatetic Deputy General Manager (Clinical), you'll need to be a Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) with current NMC registration and a teaching, mentoring, or supervision qualification. Previous experience of working within a nursing home setting is essential, and evidence of continual professional development is also required. Experience in helping residents with different health needs is important, as is a successful track record of managing safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments.
