Job Title: Peripatetic Occupational Health Technician Location: Bristol Area (with UK-wide travel required) Full-Time: 37.5 hours per week My client, a leading provider of comprehensive health and wellness services, is looking to expand their peripatetic team by hiring a dedicated Occupational Health Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering health surveillance services across the UK, traveling to client sites in a Mobile Medical Unit (MMU). This is an exciting opportunity for a reliable and enthusiastic individual to develop their skills and work in a dynamic, supportive environment. The role requires regular travel and overnight stays, with the flexibility to work remotely while ensuring the delivery of top-tier health services. Key Responsibilities: Conducting health surveillance screenings, including audiometry, lung function tests, drug and alcohol testing, and general health assessments such as height, weight, blood pressure, and urinalysis. Ensuring all medical information is accurately recorded in occupational health records and passed to relevant clinical staff. Maintaining equipment to ensure it is clean, serviceable, and fit for purpose. Supporting health promotion activities and other non-clinical tasks as required (e.g., filing and maintaining a tidy workspace). Assisting the broader occupational health team to ensure the smooth running of the department. Accurately gathering and recording data to support clinical decision-making. (Note: the technician does not interpret results, except in the case of drug and alcohol testing, where training will be provided). Skills & Experience: Strong time management and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Knowledge of health promotion and GDPR compliance. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Self-motivated with the ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines. Approachable, with good interpersonal and communication skills. Previous experience in health surveillance is highly desirable. Full, clean driving license. Location & Travel Requirements: This position requires regular travel across the UK, with frequent overnight stays. The role is ideal for someone based in the Bristol area, as the Mobile Medical Unit will be parked at or near the candidate's home address when not in use. Expect to be away for approximately 3 out of 4 weeks per month, with the weekend off to return home. Salary & Benefits: Salary: 24,000 - 26,000 per annum, depending on experience.
