We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Draughtsperson to join our team in Cramlington on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans, utilizing SolidWorks, and contributing to mechanical engineering projects. Key Responsibilities: Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings and plans using SolidWorks. Collaborate with engineers to understand project requirements and translate them into technical drawings. Conduct reverse engineering to create accurate drawings from existing parts and assemblies. Review and modify existing drawings as required. Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards and company policies. Prepare documentation and detailed drawings for manufacturing and production purposes. Assist in the design and development of mechanical components and systems. Provide technical support and guidance to the engineering and production teams. Participate in project meetings and contribute to the planning and execution of engineering projects. Maintain accurate records of all drawings and project documentation. Qualifications and Skills: Proven experience as a Draughtsperson in the mechanical engineering field. Proficiency in SolidWorks and other relevant CAD software. Strong understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes. Experience with reverse engineering techniques and tools. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in creating technical drawings. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
