Facilities : They are a small animal practice with a high exotics caseload. The practice is modern and spacious with state-of-the-art equipment including digital X-ray, in-house laboratory, ultrasound, and multi-parameter.
Team : You will work alongside the two Practice Partners and a friendly team of 5 Vets, 5 Nurses, two student nurses, and 2 Animal Care Assistants.
Role : This is an ideal role for a Veterinary Surgeon who is either ready to take the next step in their career into a lead role or is already in a similar position and wants a new challenge and to gain more experience.
Hours : This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, on a rota basis and there are no OOHs.
Responsibilities :
You will ideally be confident with all routine surgical and medical cases; an interest in orthopaedics would be advantageous but is not essential.
They have a high exotics caseload so ideally, they are looking for a Head Vet who has strong exotics experience.
You should be keen to take on a supportive role and demonstrate key skills including building strong relationships with clients, patients, and the wider team.
You will manage a team of 5 vets - supporting the vets clinically and managing the team in the daily running of the practice.
People management experience is advantageous.
Salary : Starting salary of
£70,000
p/a depending on experience.
