The Role: We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to work full-time with children who have a variety of special educational needs (SEN). You will support the classroom teacher in delivering a high-quality, inclusive education, ensuring each child reaches their full potential. This could be general and on a 1:1 basis, depending on the needs of the students in the classroom. Key Responsibilities: Work one-on-one or in small groups with SEN children, providing tailored support. Assist in implementing individual learning plans (ILPs) and strategies. Foster a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. Encourage students' social, emotional, and personal development. Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to adapt teaching methods to students’ needs. Support students with varying needs, which may include autism, ADHD, physical disabilities, speech and language difficulties, or emotional and behavioral challenges. About You: We are looking for someone who is: Experienced in working with children with SEN (preferred but not essential—training will be provided). Patient, empathetic, and committed to making a positive impact. Skilled in building strong, trusting relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. Adaptable and able to remain calm under pressure. Qualifications and Requirements: Previous experience in a similar role or a keen interest in SEN education. A relevant Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not required). An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undertake one).
