Facilities : Plans in process for mezzanine expansion, to incorporate 4 consult rooms, a dental and imaging suite, a separate induction area, a prep room and lab room, a large colleague space, and a quiet waiting area. This is to support colleagues and patients, and work towards becoming a Fear-free practice.
Team : The vet and practice owner is supported by a great crew of 2 Vets, an HVN, 2 RVNs, 1 SVN, 4 VCAs, and a reception team, led by the experienced Practice Manager, on hand to support the whole team.
Role : This is a great opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join and get experience with the team and practice with the option of partnership in the future if this is something you are looking to explore.
Hours :
They are looking for a full-time vet, but can also consider flexible hours for the right candidate.
Rota: 1 in 3 Saturdays (9 am-5:45 pm), no Sunday working or OOHs after 7 pm.
Duties :
20-minute sick pet consults (30 minutes for new grads) with over 1 hour of catch-up and admin time rostered into the day.
A good variety of clients and cases, with referrals available, but due to their client base, they do a lot of work-up in-house.
Equipment includes Doppler ultrasound, operating loupes, an electrosurgery unit, tonometry, a dental x-ray, and a growing orthopaedic kit.
Salary : For this position, they can offer a salary of
£35,000
for a new graduate or up to
£65,000
for certificate holders, dependent upon experience.
