They are an independent small animal veterinary practice proud to have supported pets and their owners in the Rossendale Valley and surrounding area for over 40 years. Being an independent practice means that they have the freedom to make sure their clinical protocols and processes offer the best service to clients and also the wellbeing of their team. Facilities:

They have a great kit, including a new DR and ultrasound, endoscopy, referral-level ophthalmology equipment, and dental x-ray on the way. They also benefit from visiting specialists which helps with more advanced ultrasonography, cardiologist, and VetXS, who provide referral orthopaedic surgery services here at the practice. Support Team:

They have an amazingly skilled, capable team of RVNs to help the days run smoothly and provide the vets with fantastic support. For example, their nurses run 30-minute puppy & kitten consults before the vet’s health examination and vaccination to allow the nurse to provide all the routine care advice so the vets can concentrate on the clinical examination. The Role:

Our client is looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and supportive team. Hours:

Fancy a full-time role that is only 3 days a week and no OOH? Our client is all about the team, flexibility, and work-life balance, which is why they’re offering an unusual full-time rota, which gives you the time and the energy to enjoy life both inside and outside of work. Shift Rota: Our current full-time vets work a 3-day week; they enjoy having two weekdays free, but they can be very flexible and are happy to work out a rota that suits you, including part-time hours if you prefer. The 1:4 weekends are just Saturdays (9 am to 1.30 pm) and Sundays (10 am to 12.30 pm). Their out-of-hours are outsourced to Armac Vets, which is only 15 minutes away, so your evenings and weekends are free to enjoy, and from the start of the new year, they will also cover their bank holidays. Applicant Requirements:

They are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon with post-graduate experience to join the team. Their current team members have a varied range of interests covering surgeries, orthopaedics, diagnostic imaging, medical cases, and dermatology. Many of their team have completed or are completing certificates in their field of interest in this supportive practice. Salary:

The salary range is

£40,000 - £70,000

p/a depending on experience.
