Permit Issuer

on a permanent staff basis joining a revolutionary project in Fife. This role is based in Leven.

About the role: You will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the Permit to Work process as Principal Contractor including but not limited to verifying RAM’s and carrying out PTW audits. As a Permit Coordinator you will be part of a team responsible for creating compliant permits to allow company and sub-contract teams to safely conduct their work scopes.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure strict implementation of permit to work rules.

Ensure strict compliance with HSE systems.

Ensure compliance with CDM regulations.

Co-ordinate with the TWC (Temporary Works Coordinator).

Experience of Civils works M&P & EC&I Construction activities.

Ensure all Environmental, Health and Safety documentation is reviewed prior to work starting.

Conduct permit audits as per the agreed schedule and ensure compliance and record findings.

Monitor simultaneous operations (SIMOPs) and ensure works are not compromised.

Coach and mentor staff as needed on the PTW process.

Ensure that permit to work updates/changes are effectively communicated to all relevant personnel.

Take part and contribute meaningfully during permit to work review meetings.

Ensure permits are completed and signed off at the end of the existing work-scope.

Experience in Hazard identification, Risk Management including Risk Assessments.

Contractor supervision experience.

Key Requirements: Previous experience in building and issuing permits preferably within the Petrochemical Sector.

Hold a minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Pipe Fitting and hold IOSH.

Must have the Right to Work in the UK.
