My name is William, but I like to be called Billy. I am an intelligent 81-year-old gentleman living on the outskirts of Castle Douglas with my wife, Elizabeth. I enjoy having company that I can joke and laugh with from time to time, but sometimes I can come across as a little quiet. I enjoy watching wrestling, news, and other programs on TV sometimes into the early hours of the morning. I also enjoy doing cryptic crosswords on the computer.
Due to my recent health situation, I am looking to recruit a personal assistant as I am currently recovering from a stroke at home and suffer from COPD and blind spots in my eyesight.
I am looking for someone with experience in adult care to support me in personal care and medication prompting. My mobility isn't the best, and I do use a Zimmer frame to get around the house but sometimes require assistance. The hours for this role are 14 hours per week over 7 days, twice daily, but there is an opportunity for additional hours in the near future. I am looking to employ two people for this role. The rate of pay is £12 per hour, and annual leave pay is included. Flexibility is required; times can be discussed at the interview.
I am a caring person and would like to find someone who shares the same interests as myself and is reliable.
Due to my rural location, you will need access to your own vehicle as there are no local transport links nearby, and a suitable PVG is required for this role.
