Dimensions - Assisting Managing Director - Office Administration - Employee Support Functions

Role Purpose To provide Reception, Site wide Administrative support, assistance when required in invoice processing and inventory control support and service for the Company. Contribute to maximising the operational efficiency of the Company. Key Accountabilities Communication : Answering phone calls, emails, and letters, and screening inquiries Scheduling : Managing calendars, making appointments, and setting reminders Travel : Planning travel arrangements, including flights, accommodations, and ground transportation Events : Supporting events, such as conferences, workshops, and seminars Notes : Taking notes at meetings and preparing meeting minutes Correspondence : Drafting emails, letters, and other correspondence Systems : Maintaining office systems, including data management and filing Research : Conducting background research and presenting findings Reports : Producing documents, reports, and presentations Expenses : Preparing expense reports Liaison : Liaising with clients, suppliers, and other staff Site induction : for visitors PA for Managing Director Maintain office supplies As required, greet & direct Visitors & handle incoming telephone calls to provide a prompt & effective service. Preferred Knowledge / Skills / Experiences Significant previous experience in a similar role. Ability to plan & work effectively. Ability to work systematically with capacity to respond effectively to the unexpected. Effective communication skills both verbal & written Commitment to high quality standards & continuing improvement in all operational activities. IT literate in Microsoft Office Suite essential. Ability to use own initiative effectively & take proactive approach on behalf of the business. Good Team working skills Ability to set and maintain high work standards. Ability to identify, analyse and solve problems. About our project in Port of Nigg, Highland

Sumitomo Electric is one of the leading global manufacturers of state-of-the-art high-end electricity transmission cables, up to and including 525kV HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) cable. The new factory at Nigg, with investment value announced by the Scottish Government of £350M, will make a significant contribution towards realisation of the UK Net Zero Target by contributing to critical electricity transmission infrastructure to connect and deliver renewable energy, including offshore wind, to UK consumers and beyond. In addition, the factory will create more than 150 highly skilled jobs in the Scottish Highlands, with maximum utilisation of the local supply chain for production of cables and construction of transmission cable systems.

In a significant boost for the UK green energy supply chain, Sumitomo Electric has commenced construction of its state-of-the-art subsea transmission cable factory in the Scottish Highlands. The factory will supply critical elements for the reinforcement of the UK electricity transmission grid and for connecting renewable energy production facilities to the grid.
