Experience in care or support is not necessary but beneficial. However, you should be someone with a caring, friendly nature, who can take direction well, be reliable, and trustworthy. We also ask that you are a confident driver and have access to a vehicle. Role Responsibilities:
The job can be very varied. In addition to providing home and personal care, you will assist with work, hobbies, shopping, and on occasions, events and trips away. Work Schedule:
As I require 24-hour care, the role requires you to be available to work a wide-ranging type of work pattern, including some weekends, evenings, and overnight sleep shifts. However, we are open to working around other commitments for the right candidate if possible. I am looking to recruit Female Staff Team (Exemption is claimed under the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule 9). I would also require that you are over 21 years old for Motability Car Insurance. As you will be working in the family home, you must be able to respect my family, my wishes, my home, and my right to a private life. This means there will be periods of quiet time where you will be asked to stay in the PA room we have provided, which includes access to the internet and TV. The family also includes family dogs and 2 cats, so you should be confident and happy around animals. You will be required to get to know myself and the team through meetings, shadowing, and bespoke training. You will receive all mandatory training and specialized training annually. Hours and Pay Rates
The rate of pay will be: Weekday: £12.50 per hour for days and £13.00 per hour for nights, as well as incentives and enhanced pay on bank holidays. Weekend: £13.50 per hour for weekend days and £14.00 per hour for nights, as well as incentives and enhanced pay on bank holidays. Christmas Day & Boxing Day are planned non-working days. We also offer a company pension scheme and Continuous Professional Development. There may be overtime available. 5.6 weeks holiday is awarded per year as standard (pro rata for part-time positions). Employees can join the Company Pension scheme after 3 months’ service, subject to the rules of the scheme, as well as our Cash Back Health Plan after completion of a successful probation period.
