To provide ongoing support in the home for a young lady with Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, and a Learning Disability. Main Duties:
Support individuals with Spastic Quadriplegia, Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, a visual impairment, and a learning disability. Provide 1:1 and 2:1 support with personal care, feeding, washing, and dressing. Have an understanding of moving and handling, transfers using equipment and hoists (full training will be provided). Administer medication, including emergency Epilepsy medication (full training will be provided). Hours:
12 hours per week including weekends; flexible approach to cover shifts as required. Rates of Pay:
£16.88 per hour; holiday is 5.6 weeks pro rata. Person Specification:
Preferably have some experience in supporting individuals with disabilities (full training will be provided). Genuine interest in supporting adults with complex needs. Flexible, patient, punctual, and reliable. Respect confidentiality and understand your role in relation to this. Please note: Dogs are part of the household and are very friendly. An enhanced DBS check will be carried out for this post, and the cost will be met by Northumberland County Council. References will be requested upon a successful interview. Services:
