I’m looking for a Personal Assistant to become part of my 1:1 home care team of 5 people (ME16 area). I am funded by the NHS and looking for compassionate, self-motivated and well-organised individuals with a desire to provide the best support possible. I have employed staff for over 30 years and have very good relationships with my assistants. You will need to be within 40 minutes travel time from ME16 and preferably be able to drive a manual car (aged over 25 for my insurance). Pay:
Sunday (£14.28 rising to £15 after 6 months and completing competency-based training and assessment). Alongside essential health care, personal care, and domestic assistance, I’m looking for a personal assistant who can enable me to have the best days I can and support my husband to have a break. I’m a wheelchair user who enjoys quiet days, sometimes doing my hobbies (board games and paper craft, computer use) and enjoying my garden. I use a ventilator and have unique postural support - a 3-month training and induction programme will be provided. Days / Hours shift patterns available (including school holidays): 9am to 6.30 pm Fridays (Option to increase to 8am to 7pm) - pay rate starts at £13.59 rising to £14.30 as above 9am to 6.30 pm Saturday 9am to 6.30 pm Sunday (Option to increase hours to 8.30 am to 7pm) Priority will be given to applicants who can do a Sunday, but I am interested in people who may be able to do any of the above as existing staff could possibly swap their day. Applicants who can support other staff and be able to offer some holiday and emergency cover for other days will be prioritised in shortlisting. Female applicants only
