The family is looking for an enabler to support this young man with socializing and accessing the local community, visiting new places of interest, and taking a person-centred approach to all activities he chooses to engage in.
The young man enjoys going out in the community, browsing in shops, bowling, swimming, and walks in the park, as well as other activities with young people. He enjoys watching TV, McDonald's, and Sambuca (only if in Cinderella ball). He dislikes crowded places and busy restaurants.
Main Duties:
Include a breakdown of tasks that will be required: to promote independence and basic life skills, support social interactions with others, and access places of interest in the local community. This includes support with travel training so he can use the metro train and bus. Acting as a 'support buddy' while encouraging his interests and taking a person-centred approach. Flexibility to cover for holidays and sickness leave, if possible.
Hours of Work:
5 hours a week (52 weeks) and an additional 5 hours per week during all school holidays (13 weeks)
Rates of Pay:
