(a9d33f67) To provide support with a young adult who has physical and learning disabilities due to a brain injury. Main Duties: Support the young adult to attend college, including transport to and from college and assistance on campus. Core hours of support required to attend college: Monday 8am - 1pm Wednesday 10am - 4pm Thursday 8am - 4pm Friday 9am - 4pm Total 25hrs per week Enable exploration and access to community and leisure activities of interest. Assist in planning and organizing leisure time. Provide support for personal care and manual handling, including wheelchair use and potential standing transfers and hoisting. Assist with PEG feeding, primarily at home, with training provided. Facilitate communication and independence. Possess a manual driving license for daily transport and activities. This post is part-time, requiring 37 hours per week, with flexibility for hours outside of college attendance. Ideally, two Personal Assistants will share this role.

Rates of pay:

£13.09 per hour. Holiday entitlement is 5.6 weeks per year pro-rata. Out-of-pocket expenses will be reimbursed. Person Specification:

Experience and understanding of working with young people with disabilities. Genuine interest in working with complex needs. High degree of initiative and flexibility. Positive and caring nature. Respect for confidentiality. Applicants must hold a full and clean driving license and be insured for business use. An Enhanced Certificate of Disclosure (DBS) will be required, with costs covered by Northumberland County Council. Services:
