Personal Care Assistant for a young person P/T @ £16.41/hr in Alnwick - FTE - £32.0k - Alnwick - NE66
A Personal Assistant/Enabler is required to support a 5-year-old boy, still in nappies and who is not yet at school, to access his education provision and get used to another familiar adult by enabling him to go out into the community and engage in activities he enjoys.
This little boy has been diagnosed with Learning Disabilities, Global Developmental Delay, speech, language, and mobility difficulties. He is usually a very happy little character, generally only gets upset when in pain, is hungry, or needs your attention to do something.
When out in the community, this child uses a specialist buggy, so there is moving and handling involved in this role. He also requires assistance with feeding and hydration, as well as personal care.
Your role would be part-time, term-time, school hours only, fixed term at present until 18/07/25.
You need to be patient, kind, and reliable with experience of working with and the ability to interact and engage with a non-communicative child. You would make a wonderful difference to this young boy and his family, so please apply if genuinely interested.

Hours Breakdown: 8 hours per week during the school day (between 9am and 3pm) term-time only.
