Personal Care Assistant/Support Worker

required to assist a person with Physical and Learning Disabilities including Autism and Tourette’s, living in the Cumbernauld area. You would be required to provide one-to-one care and assistance and encouragement to be out in the community, including attending to personal care and participation in social activities. Your duties would involve assisting with tasks such as: Prompting to all personal care needs (showering, toileting including bowel movements, shaving) Prompting medication Preparing meals and healthy snacks Walking, exploring, arcades, badminton, encouraging to try new activities such as photography, visiting museums, day trips. Encouraging independence Moving and assisting - pushing manual wheelchair, may need assistance while walking, to keep steady. Any other daily living tasks to promote independent living. The most important qualities are a warm and friendly nature and a desire to work within a caring role. Must take a proactive and innovative approach to support and encourage the individual to be involved in activities suited to their needs. Pets in the household – you must be comfortable working with dogs & cats in the home. Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Driver Requirements:

Driver with a full UK Driving Licence and you will be required to use your own vehicle – mileage allowance. Experience:

Experience in Autism is preferred, but not essential, as training will be provided. Hours of Work (with a degree of flexibility): Recruiting for one position. Guaranteed permanent position of 10 hours per week. Days and Times: Alternative Saturdays: 12pm to 6pm More hours available for after school, evenings, weekends, and school holidays – to be discussed at interview. Hourly Rate:
