This firm specialises in providing bespoke tax and financial solutions to individuals and businesses. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Personal Tax Manager to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a role offering a balanced mix of advisory and compliance work within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Tax Compliance:

Manage the personal tax compliance process for a portfolio of clients, including high-net-worth individuals, business owners, and trusts. Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of self-assessment tax returns. Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients, handling queries and correspondence effectively.

Tax Advisory:

Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services, including inheritance tax, capital gains tax, and income tax optimization. Advise clients on tax implications of various financial decisions, business transactions, and investments. Identify opportunities for tax efficiencies and risk mitigation.

Client Management:

Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor. Deliver clear and concise advice tailored to individual client needs. Keep clients informed of relevant changes in tax legislation and their potential impact.

Team Collaboration and Leadership:

Work closely with other departments to provide seamless service to clients. Mentor and support junior staff, sharing expertise and fostering their professional development.

What you will have:

Qualifications and Experience:

Hold a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) qualification (essential). Significant experience in personal tax compliance and advisory work within a professional accountancy practice.

Skills and Attributes:

Strong technical knowledge of personal tax legislation and its application. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex tax matters clearly. Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines effectively. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Technology:

Familiarity with tax software and systems. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
