We are looking for an experienced Personal Tax Manager to join our fantastic Business Services team in Wakefield. You will manage a portfolio of clients in relation to personal tax and deal with ad hoc advisory work and compliance requirements. This is a full-time role (35 hours per week) which is client-facing and therefore predominantly based in our Wakefield office, however there is the potential for some hybrid working. Responsibilities

Managing a portfolio of clients (individuals and partnerships) in relation to their personal tax returns, effectively managing all client relationships. Regularly meeting with and speaking to clients to ensure the provision of a knowledgeable and professional level of service. Dealing with P11D benefits forms. Dealing with HMRC queries and letters. Keeping up to date with changes in tax legislation. Assisting in the development of less experienced colleagues, providing training and instruction where needed, and reviewing junior team members’ tax returns. Providing ad hoc advice on income tax and capital gains tax forms. Dealing with simple/ad hoc ERS and Trust returns. Liaising with tax specialists as required. Skills/Experience

An experienced personal tax professional currently working within a practice. High level of personal tax knowledge. ATT qualified preferred (or qualified by experience). Proven track record in developing and maintaining strong client relationships. Able to convey specialist knowledge in an understandable manner. Strong team player, willing and able to share knowledge and experience with more junior colleagues. Confident and professional in approach. Self-motivated and resourceful with strong organisation skills. Able to manage own workload and meet deadlines in an autonomous role. Confident IT skills.
