As a Personal Tutor, you will play a crucial role in not only supporting individual student needs but also in contributing to the broader mission of providing an enriching and supportive learning environment. As a member of the student experience team, Personal tutors will support and work with curriculum staff and students by implementing and assisting interventions to improve outcomes regarding attendance, achievement, and destinations. The post will be of interest to those who want to work within an educational setting and who may wish to eventually pursue a career in teaching. You will be reporting to Head of Student Experience Joe Austin and work closely with the teaching, support staff and Elite Sport Academies, as well as liaising with parents and external organisations when appropriate. Key Responsibilities

Provide personalised support to students to ensure their well-being and academic success. Work closely with teaching staff to enhance students' academic and personal experiences. Implement and support interventions aimed at improving student outcomes in areas such as attendance, achievement, and post-college destinations. Deliver a range of engaging tutorials through the SHAPE programme, improving and maintaining positive destinations of students, including through internal progression and UCAS applications. Skills & Knowledge

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to build a positive rapport with learners. Experience in leading improvements in student participation, attendance, and behaviour. Experience of supporting students with low-level safeguarding concerns. Relevant qualifications and English and maths level 2 or equivalent.
