As a Pharmacist, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate, safe, and clinically compliant dispensing of medications. You will play a critical role in upholding professional pharmacy standards, maintaining regulatory compliance, and ensuring patient safety. This position requires a commitment to high standards of care, effective team leadership, and the ability to manage complex responsibilities with a clear focus on patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure the clinically and legally accurate supply of all dispensed medications in accordance with GPhC standards and Responsible Pharmacist regulations. Oversee and complete the final accuracy check on all dispensed prescriptions, ensuring the involvement of appropriately trained personnel. Adhere to the Clinical Governance framework, covering key areas such as patient and public involvement, clinical audits, risk management, and premises standards. Maintain and enforce compliance with all pharmacy SOPs. Log and address errors and near-misses, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Ensure the competence of the dispensing team by providing training and ongoing support as required. Act as a leader and mentor within the pharmacy, fostering a collaborative and professional work environment. Guarantee that all prescriptions are dispensed within required timescales. Maintain appropriate storage, temperature control, and handling of all medications during storage, dispensing, and delivery. Provide accurate, informed responses to drug-related queries from internal and external stakeholders. Stay up-to-date with current pharmacy practices through continuous professional development (CPD). Comply with all published GPhC standards and complete pharmacovigilance activities within the required timelines.

Key Skills and Competencies: Ability to use professional knowledge to make complex decisions. Strong influencing skills, both internally and externally. Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team while maintaining a patient-focused approach. Excellent collaboration skills.

Qualifications and Requirements: Must be a UK Registered Pharmacist. CPD Compliance: Commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry standards.

Additional Responsibilities: Undertake therapy-specific focus areas as required.
