Responsibilities
Lead and manage pharmacy staff, ensuring delivery of safe, efficient and high-quality pharmaceutical service.
Oversee the dispensing of medications and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and storing medicines.
Provide expert advice to patients regarding medications, including usage, side effects, and interactions.
Implement and monitor pharmacy policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient care and medication management.
To help deliver professional services as commissioned by SPPG.
Train and mentor pharmacy staff on best practices in customer service and technical operations.
Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to prescriptions or services.
Requirements
A valid pharmacy degree and registration with the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland.
Previous experience in Community Pharmacy is desirable and preferably in a managerial role
Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient care.
Excellent leadership abilities to inspire and motivate a team.
Proficiency in pharmacy IT systems for efficient operations.
Up-to-date knowledge of current pharmacy services and end of month returns.
Exceptional communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
