We are currently recruiting for a part time Store Based Pharmacist position at our Millom Health Centre store in Cumbria, around 6 miles north of Barrow-in-Furness and 26 miles south of Whitehaven, just outside the Lake District National Park.

The store is open from 9:00am-5:00pm Monday to Friday and 9:00am-2:00pm on Saturday.

The successful Pharmacist will be supported by x5 other members in the team, plus another Pharmacist, dispensing approximately 1,600 items per week. The store has a steady workflow with a team that turns tasks around at a good pace.

Millom, which in Cumbrian dialect means 'at the mills', is one of the most sought-after towns in Cumbria to live! There is a beautiful sandy beach about 1 mile away, with more beaches within a short drive. There are lots of nice coastal walks to enjoy with various places to visit just a short drive away, such as the incredible Lakes! Millom is a friendly, laid back, small, safe town with all the essentials like eateries, supermarket & local shops covering most essentials.

As a Pharmacist with us you’ll be providing excellent customer and patient care; it’s more than dispensing medicine, it’s listening and providing your expert advice and reassurance. Your main areas of responsibility will be: Delivering the pharmacy strategy through providing expert care and advice Accountable for legal and ethical decisions in the pharmacy Building the pharmacy capability of store teams Conducting continual review through audit, observations and risk assessment to ensure customer and patient safety is paramount Delivering a range of professional pharmacy services

To be successful in this role you will have a professional, caring character and a true desire to help us change for the better. In addition you will:

Be registered with relevant pharmacy regulator (GPhC, PSNI, PSI) Demonstrate high levels of professional expertise and be widely respected by stakeholders, peers, patients, customers and external local professionals Have a passion for community pharmacy and providing the best care for our customers. Be collaborative with a team-centered approach Have excellent knowledge of pharmacy operations and provisions of national and local services Be a great communicator; able to put people at ease and effectively meet the varied needs of our customers and patients
