The Opportunity: As a Pharmacovigilance Scientist (PVS), you will manage safety surveillance and signal detection efforts for Astellas products. You will lead the development and implementation of safety strategies, work with internal teams and vendors, and ensure the timely delivery of safety reports for health authorities. Key Activities for this role: Manage signal detection and safety evaluations for Astellas products. Provide input and leadership in safety surveillance strategy development. Lead safety report preparation, including PSUR, DSUR, and PADER. Build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Lead mentoring and training initiatives for junior team members. Essential Knowledge & Experience: Extensive experience in pharmacovigilance, signal detection, and risk management. Proven ability to work effectively in global, cross-functional teams and matrixed environments. Strong knowledge of ICH/FDA regulations and drug safety guidelines. Proven proficiency in pharmacovigilance reporting systems and MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong written and verbal communication skills in a global environment. Fluent in written and spoken business English. Educations/Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Additional information: This is a permanent, full-time position based in the United Kingdom. This position follows our hybrid working model, requiring a blend of home and a minimum of 1 day per week in our United Kingdom office. Flexibility may be required in line with business needs. Candidates must be located within a commutable distance of the office.
