The Pharmacy Administrator & Prescription Clerk will be responsible for issuing repeat prescriptions, recalling patients for medication reviews and processing personally administered items (PPA)s for reimbursement. About us

KEY DUTIES: To process medication and repeat prescription requests To recall, invite and book patients for annual medication reviews. To record patient data in medical records (height, weight, BP, smoking status etc) To accurately claim for personally administered items reimbursement each month OTHER DUTIES: To ensure every patient has had a medication review within a 12 month period. To invite patients using a variety of communication methods: SMS, telephone and letter To identify personally administered items and ensure FP10 scripts gathered for reimbursement process To pass on patient requests to the most appropriate department or team member To support Pharmacy team in reviewing protocols and SOPs To participate in clinical audits as directed To assist with monitoring and management of prescribing budgets To update patient medical records with personal information, such as contact details, next of kin details etc. To maintain accurate and relevant patient records, including recording of events and requests To keep the working area clean, tidy and professional whilst adhering to GDPR regulations To assist with training for new staff To assist with the gathering of statistics and information when required To work across different practices on an ad-hoc/when required basis It will be necessary to attend and contribute to various practice meetings as requested This Job Description is neither exhaustive nor exclusive and will be reviewed periodically in conjunction with the post holder.
