Ensure that all orders for pharmaceuticals are placed in an accurate and timely fashion to ensure the availability of pharmaceuticals for patient treatment. Ensure that invoices are accurately matched on the Pharmacy JAC system according to Trust Standing Financial Instructions. Work closely with the Trust's Finance department to ensure that payment of invoices is not delayed. Ensure that pharmaceuticals are accurately received, stored, and distributed to various departments within the hospital as well as to external customers. Maintain accurate stock levels and investigate discrepancies. Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team providing an efficient and effective pharmacy service to the Trust, ensuring patients receive the optimum level of service and care. Our values are

Assist the Pharmacy Procurement Manager/Deputy Pharmacy Procurement Manager with placing orders in a cost-effective manner using technology to minimise paperwork. Ensure goods received into pharmacy are promptly unpacked, checked off, and stored correctly. Be responsible for the accurate and timely matching of invoices on JAC and other maintenance of paperwork related to the ordering and invoicing of medicines. Assist the Pharmacy Distribution Manager in ensuring all relevant wards and departments are topped-up with the designated amount of stock that they require. Assist when necessary with general clerical duties within the department. Person Specification
Qualifications
GCSE (English & Maths C or above) NVQ2 (pharmaceutical) or ability to work towards NVQ2 (pharmaceutical) within 6 months Knowledge
Basic computer skills Accurately dispense to set standards Demonstrated accurate numeracy skills, without using a calculator, including simple calculations & addition, subtraction, division, multiplication. Familiar with pharmacy procedures and workflow pharmacy services. Experience
Previous hospital or pharmacy experience Understanding of the hospital pharmacy environment Understanding of working effectively within multidisciplinary groups Skills
