Better for our People Better for our Patients Better for our Planet! Avicenna are currently seeking a Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team in Bedford. In this role, you will play a critical role working in the dispensary assisting the Pharmacist Manager and the ACT, providing an efficient and professional dispensing service in line with company policies and procedures. This is a great opportunity for a qualified pharmacy dispenser to join our well-established organisation, with the support of an excellent team. What will you be doing? Ensure customer prescriptions are received and dispensed in a timely manner. Provide excellent levels of customer service to all customers to ensure needs and requirements are met/exceeded. Support other services as required by the pharmacy and identify opportunities for the Pharmacist Manager, Pharmacist, Relief Pharmacist, or Locum. Clinically check all prescriptions to avoid possible drug interactions and make the RP aware if an interaction is identified so that the prescriber can be contacted. Ensure CD scripts are dispensed legally and the bag label indicates the last day by which the script can be handed to the patient. We would love to meet someone with: A qualified Dispenser with the relevant qualifications. Experience of working in a pharmacy environment. Good attention to detail. A passion to learn and develop.
