Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser/Tech to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and dispensing of medications to patients, ensuring that all prescriptions are filled accurately and efficiently. Your commitment to patient care and medication administration will play a crucial role in supporting our pharmacy operations and enhancing the health and wellbeing of our community. The hours will be mutually agreed with the applicant and will be between the hours 9-5:30 Mon-Fri and only one Saturday a month, 9am-12pm. School hours will be considered. Responsibilities Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions from qualified healthcare professionals. Assist in the preparation of medication, including counting tablets, measuring liquids, and labeling containers. Provide exceptional patient care by answering queries regarding medications, usage instructions, and potential side effects. Maintain accurate records of medication dispensed and ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations. Collaborate with pharmacists to manage inventory levels and ensure the availability of medications. Support the implementation of safety protocols to prevent medication errors and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills related to pharmacy practice. Requirements Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or Dispenser is necessary. Strong understanding of patient care principles and medication administration processes. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in all tasks performed. Ability to work effectively within a team environment while also demonstrating initiative when required. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with patients and healthcare professionals. Familiarity with pharmacy software systems (ProScript) is an advantage but not essential as training will be provided. Working Hours To be mutually agreed between employer and applicant.
