Job summary Please note that this is a cross-site role so travel between sites will be required. Previous applicants need not apply. As part of the expansion of our Homecare services, we are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Pharmacy Homecare Officer to work as a key part of the Homecare team in Pharmacy across both of the Bedfordshire Hospital sites, liaising with Homecare providers, clinical teams, and Pharmacy colleagues to ensure a consistent supply of high-risk medication to patients' homes. This role involves activities related to management of Homecare prescriptions and generating orders for these via Homecare providers used by the Trust using the Pharmacy computer systems. If you are interested in this post, you will need experience of working to deadlines and managing your own workload to meet the needs of a service and be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills while showing enthusiasm for trying new roles and delivering an excellent patient experience. Main duties of the job To carry out a range of duties associated with the ordering/receipt and invoicing of medicines provided through Homecare medicine providers using the Pharmacy computer systems. To maintain relevant databases related to all aspects of Homecare medicines provision and provide appropriate reports. To carry out a range of duties associated with ordering/receipt and invoicing of pharmaceutical items to cover absences in the Pharmacy Procurement team, as required, using the Pharmacy computer system.
