Pharmacy Production Officer, Technical Services Band 4/5 depending on experience.
Full time – equating to 37.5 hours per week. Part time will be considered. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated technician to join our well-established team in Technical Services as a Pharmacy Production Officer. The MHRA licenced ‘Specials’ pharmacy manufacturing unit is based at the Royal Stoke University Hospital and is a modern purpose-built unit within the hospital. The service encompasses aseptic, chemotherapy, and pre-pack (over labelling and re-packaging products) supplying both the Trust and external organisations. As a department, we constantly strive to re-engineer our services to improve our delivery of patient-focused pharmaceutical care and customer satisfaction. As part of our manufacturing team, you will be expected to prepare products, including systemic anti-cancer therapies and intravenous nutrition. This will involve working in a controlled environment and wearing protective garments and shoes. The post holder will be expected to understand and follow standard operating procedures and have good manual dexterity. Following in-house training, the post holder will undertake in-process, pre-process, and final release of products. To achieve this, you will need excellent organisational, communication, and computer skills with a high degree of attention to detail, and you will need to be able to work effectively with the existing team.
