Pharmacy Technician
to join our Pharmacy team at
HMP Oakwood , a category C Prison located in Wolverhampton.
HMP Oakwood is one of the largest prisons in the UK, housing over 1,500 men. The Pharmacy Team consists of 10 Pharmacy Techs and 2 Pharmacy Assistants. There are 3 main houseblocks which have two dispensaries to work out of and three smaller units with one dispensary.

Hours This role is a permanent position based on 30 hours per week. You will be working 3 shifts per week from Monday to Friday, covering a shift pattern of 7am - 5.30pm.
Salary This position is full time, and you will receive an annual salary between £27,247 and £32,346 per annum FTE, depending on experience.

Main Duties of the Job As a Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
Provide outstanding quality-based patient-centred care to our patients, seeking out, listening to, and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
Focus on providing a safe and secure medicines management service, ensuring patient medical records are maintained to the agreed standard at all times and ensuring standard operating procedures are followed to a high and orderly standard.
Deliver non-judgemental care within the scope of professional standards, involving anything from the timely administration of medicines through to analysing cost-effective prescribing as defined through our unique health in justice medicines policy.
Make a real difference by working as a key member of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.

Minimum Requirements
NVQ Level 3, or above, BTEC or equivalent.
Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
Up to date with Continual Professional Development (CPD).
Relevant post-qualification pharmacy experience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures.
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment.
