We are recruiting for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Weston-on-the-Green Dispensary Team, which is managed by Katie our Dispensary Manager and Kim our Deputy Manager. The established team is made up of Technicians, Pharmacy Assistants, Pre-registration Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Admin. You'll be joining a hard-working, supportive and dedicated Pharmacy Team, in providing a medicines supply and optimisation service to patients within Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust. This is undertaken in the form of Ward Medicines Management visits and the dispensing of Inpatient, out-patient, and discharge medicines. We feel this role would ideally suit a newly qualified Pharmacy Technician or perhaps a Technician who is currently working in a Community Pharmacy and would like to transition across to gain some hospital experience. Main duties of the job

Within the role you will have the opportunity to become an Accredited Checking Technician and develop your dispensary and leadership skills. You will be able to work effectively alone and as part of a team. You must be an excellent communicator with outstanding interpersonal and relationship building skills. You will need to be forward-thinking and enthusiastic, with a commitment to continuing professional and department development. Duties will include: Accurately updating Patient Medical Records (PMR) and processing of prescriptions Label/dispense prescriptions for in-patients and outpatients in accordance with local and national policies and any Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in place Supply Controlled Drugs complying with CD regulations Participate in Clozapine dispensing and services Participate in efficient stock control and management systems for the Dispensary Provide support to Pre-registration Pharmacy Technicians while they undertake their learning Opportunity to participate in ward top-ups once training is complete About us

Applicants must hold the NVQ3 in Pharmacy Services or an equivalent recognised GPHC qualification, and all applicants must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council. Qualifications

Qualified Pharmacy Technician with NVQ level 3 or Equivalent Registered with GPHC ACT Qualification Experience

Dispensary Experience Demonstrate and show understanding of different roles and responsibilities of Pharmacy Technicians Knowledge of stores and distribution Knowledge

Good Computer Skills Ascribe Pharmacy System Disclosure and Barring Service Check
