We have an exciting position for a

Pharmacy Technician

to join HMP Huntercombe, a Category C men's prison, located near Nuffield in Oxfordshire.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to develop the medicines management service, enhance your clinical practice and leadership skills.

Hours:

Monday to Friday: 07:45 - 17:30

Sat & Sun: 08:30 - 16:30

This position is full time working 37.5 hrs per week. You will be working predominantly Monday to Friday and have the opportunity to work weekends.

Salary:

You will receive an annual salary up to

£33,454

per annum - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job As a Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will vary. You will:

Provide safe and secure medicines management and reconciliation service to the agreed standards.

Manage prescriptions and interventions, providing face to face advice to patients.

Provide continuity of care to patients upon discharge of care.

Build strong relationships within the multidisciplinary team.

Share information relating to medicines optimisations and drug regimes.

Qualifications required

Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council

Up to date with Continual Professional Development (CPD)

Relevant post-qualification pharmacy experience

Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital or care home environment.

Job description Job responsibilities As a GPHC registered pharmacy technician with Practice Plus Group you will become an integral member of the pharmacy team, as well as a valued member of the multidisciplinary clinical healthcare team.

You will:

Provide

outstanding quality based patient centred care to our patients seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them. Focusing on providing a safe and secure medicines management service, ensuring patient medical records are maintained to the agreed standard at all times and ensuring standard operating procedures are followed to a high and orderly standard.

Deliver

non-judgmental care within the scope of professional standards. Involving anything from the timely administration of medicines through to analysing cost effective prescribing as defined through our unique health in justice medicines policy. You will make a real difference by working as a key member of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
