We are looking for an enthusiastic and pro-active Pharmacy Technician with excellent problem-solving skills who is self-motivated and organised to work as a part of the team at CRH involving Medicines Administration and Medicines Optimisation. The role will involve providing a clinical pharmacy and medication administration service to the acute respiratory unit at CRH. You need to be comfortable administering to all patients in this group. You will be based on the ward for the majority of the time, administering medication and supporting the discharge process and flow of medication in the ward. This is an exciting opportunity to learn new skills and really become part of the ward team. This is an innovative role which will enable you to develop more patient-focused skills. Appropriate training and support will be provided, and you will be able to provide input into how the role develops, as well as helping to collect and present data to show the benefits of expanding pharmacy into new areas. You will also undertake high-level ward-based duties including medicines reconciliation, controlled drug audits, counselling patients, training and mentorship of colleagues. The role requires an enthusiastic self-motivated technician to provide excellent seamless care to our patients.
