We are looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Pharmacy Technician with a specific interest in mental health to join our Pharmacy team at Wesham Rehabilitation.

You should be enthusiastic and self-motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to prioritise your own workload. Working with the Pharmacist, you will provide a high level of pharmaceutical care as part of the wider multi-disciplinary team and will support a ward-based dispensing service.

As a purely clinical service, there is no pharmacy-based dispensary commitment, bank holiday or weekend working. We can also offer flexible working hours and are committed to improving working lives.

Based at ward level, undertake the management, ordering and supply of medicines required for hospital in-patients. Provide counselling to patients on medicines-related issues thereby supporting medicines optimisation and adherence to medication. Undertake medicines reconciliation when patients are admitted and discharged from the service. Independently assess prescribed medication regimens and physical health conditions to prioritise patients for a pharmaceutical assessment by the pharmacist. Participate in local and national audits and monitor compliance with medicines legislation and national and local standards for the safe and secure handling of medicines. Participate in the development of a range of medicines management activities at ward level. Act as a key member of the multidisciplinary ward team and the wider pharmacy team.
