We are looking for a reliable and compassionate individual to join our friendly team as a Phlebotomist at our GP practice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about patient care and eager to develop their skills in a healthcare setting. You will be responsible for taking blood samples from patients for diagnostic testing, ensuring that all procedures are carried out safely and efficiently while adhering to professional standards and infection control guidelines. This is an opportunity to gain valuable experience in primary care in a supportive and inclusive working environment. You will be joining a practice that values teamwork, respect, and professionalism. No prior experience is required; full training will be provided to the right applicant. Main duties of the job

You will perform venepuncture to collect blood samples from patients as requested by clinicians. Measure and record patients' height, weight, and body mass index (BMI). Obtain and document smoking and alcohol status as part of routine patient health assessments. Ensure accurate labeling and handling of blood samples for laboratory processing. Maintain high standards of infection control and follow all health and safety protocols. Provide a calm, reassuring presence to patients who may feel anxious about procedures. Update patient records accurately using the GP practice's clinical system. Assist with other clinical tasks as required, in line with the needs of the practice. About us
