To collect blood samples from patients in accordance with venepuncture, infection control, and laboratory policies and procedures. This will include collecting samples within the hospital and the Phlebotomy Clinic to achieve efficient and effective patient care and effective resource management within the hospital. The post holders will be required to complete and pass an in-house venepuncture competency programme. The post holder must be polite and diplomatic whilst speaking directly to medical staff or patients and provide advice solely on the process of obtaining samples within Phlebotomy. They greet patients, take telephone bookings, and enter details on the department's computer when a receptionist is not available. About us
