Role overview: In this role, you’ll need to ensure best practices are followed, resulting in high-quality, maintainable code. You’ll collaborate with design and product teams to build new features, enhance app functionality, and define the technical roadmap. Your work will involve developing web applications using PHP, Symfony, Doctrine ORM, REST APIs, and React, while working with customer-facing teams to create consistent user flows and reduce operational queries. You’ll test code for accuracy and performance, provide post-launch support, and write clean, scalable code. Additionally, you‘ll need to prioritise security, privacy, and up-time, regularly showcasing progress and foster team improvement. About you: Passionate about writing clean, maintainable, and high-quality code. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement. A team player who collaborates well with design, product, and customer-facing teams. Able to balance user experience considerations with security and performance needs. Comfortable with a full development lifecycle, from planning to post-launch support. Committed to delivering enjoyable, user-friendly software that works across various devices and environments. Essential Experience: Proficient in PHP and Symfony components. Experience with REST APIs and front-end frameworks like React/NextJS. Strong understanding of ORMs. Ability to develop robust, full-stack web applications. Familiarity with automated testing tools and methodologies. Desirable Experience Proficient in Git, with experience managing workflows, writing clear commit messages, and collaborating on pull requests. Familiarity with back-end database-driven applications and how they integrate with RESTful APIs. Experience designing and developing B2B applications. Knowledge of continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) processes. Good understanding of web design, including CSS and frameworks such as Tailwind or Bootstrap, along with tools like SASS/LESS. Experienced with Doctrine ORM Benefits: Company pension contributions, with increased contributions after 3 years.
