Duties: Conduct post-deployment health assessments, interviews, and screenings in line with DoD and USAF guidelines. Diagnose and manage deployment-related health concerns, providing treatment or referrals as needed. Educate patients on their deployment-related health conditions and provide resources for follow-up care. Maintain compliance with deployment health policies, ensuring timely assessment completion and reporting metrics to leadership. Document clinical encounters in electronic medical records using appropriate coding. Support public health initiatives by participating in educational outreach and maintaining deployment health compliance logs. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program. Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Valid and unrestricted PA license in the United States or its territories. Minimum of 12 months of PA experience within the last three years. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association or Red Cross-approved program. Familiarity with deployment health policies and guidelines, including DoD and VA clinical practice standards. Minimum Knowledge and Skills: Strong understanding of medical terminology and deployment health practices. Ability to manage sensitive health information with discretion and confidentiality. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic medical record systems.
