Step Teachers are seeking an experienced Physics Teacher located in Harrow commencing in February 2025. This full-time position is for 1 month initially, with potential extension based on performance and school discretion. This school is overall outstanding and is located within a vibrant community. It places a high value on fostering the intellectual growth of students and staff. Your duties as a Physics Teacher: Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality physics lessons that challenge and inspire students. Teach physics topics across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and possibly Key Stage 5, ensuring all students meet their potential. Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all students, including those with special educational needs and those working at higher levels. Provide engaging opportunities for students to conduct practical investigations and experiments. Monitor, track, and assess student progress, providing feedback and support to ensure academic success. Contribute to the development and improvement of the physics curriculum and department resources. Encourage students to pursue further studies and careers in physics and related fields. Participate in extracurricular activities, such as science clubs, school events, and trips, to further enrich students’ learning experiences. To be considered for this Physics Teacher position, you will: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a relevant degree in Physics or a closely related field. Experience as a Physics Teacher for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (Key Stage 5 experience is desirable but not essential). A strong subject knowledge in physics and the ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear and engaging way. Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. A passion for physics and helping students develop a love for the subject.
