As a band 5 MSK physiotherapist, you will have the opportunity to learn alongside developing your clinical skills for practice. Participation in our in-house development program will equip you with skills and attributes essential to the rest of your career. You will be fully integrated into a larger team with a focus on delivering high-quality care at the right time and place. As the successful candidate, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong leadership skills, and good organizational skills. You should be able to plan your work effectively while also working well within a team. The ability to prioritize and make sound decisions, sometimes under pressure, is essential. You will carry a varied caseload of musculoskeletal complaints with a view to utilizing all treatment and care options as appropriate, with the support of a named supervisor. Main duties of the job

Carry out effective and appropriate assessments using knowledge and skills combined with clinical reasoning and contribute towards accurate diagnosis. Work with patients to identify and agree on treatment goals, delivering patient-centered care based on assessment outcomes. Use communication, reasoning, and negotiation skills to establish a working partnership with patients, families, and carers, identifying barriers to communication. Plan and lead patient group sessions as clinically relevant. Address all risk areas associated with individual patients' ability to function. Contribute to effective discharge planning. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions/treatments using outcome measures. Represent the Physiotherapy Service within the multidisciplinary team and participate in relevant team/network meetings, clinics, and contribute to the discussion and planning of patient care. Work with assistants and technical instructors regarding clinical caseloads and provide necessary support on clinical issues. About us

Qualifications & knowledge

Diploma/Degree in physiotherapy or other relevant physiotherapy qualification. Current HPC registration. Understanding of the concepts of clinical governance and their implications for clinical effectiveness/best practice. Understanding of group/team dynamics. Experience

Relevant pre-registration physiotherapy experience, including all core rotations (including MSK). Skills

Ability to present information, either written as per CSP standards or orally, in a clear and logical manner. Ability to work as an autonomous practitioner and manage time, prioritize and delegate work. Commitment to own self-development and learning, demonstrated by CPD portfolio. Ability to comprehend and work within the Trust's policies of data protection, equal opportunities, and health and safety, meeting the differing needs of the patients. Demonstrate a flexible and adaptable approach to patient care. Other
