As a band 5 MSK physiotherapist, you will have the opportunity to learn alongside developing your clinical skills for practice. As the successful candidate, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong leadership skills, and good organizational skills. You should be able to plan your work effectively while also working well within a team. The ability to prioritize and make sound decisions, sometimes under pressure, is essential. You will carry a varied caseload of musculoskeletal complaints with a view to utilizing all treatment and care options as appropriate, with the support of a named supervisor.
Main duties of the job
Carry out effective and appropriate assessments using knowledge and skills combined with clinical reasoning and contribute towards accurate diagnosis. Work with patients to identify and agree on treatment goals, delivering patient-centered care based on assessment outcomes. Use communication, reasoning, and negotiation skills to establish a working partnership with patients, families, and carers, identifying barriers to communication. Plan and lead patient group sessions as clinically relevant. Address all risk areas associated with individual patients' ability to function. Contribute to effective discharge planning. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions/treatments using outcome measures. Represent the Physiotherapy Service within the multidisciplinary team and participate in relevant team/network meetings, clinics, and contribute to the discussion and planning of patient care. Work with assistants and technical instructors regarding clinical caseloads and provide necessary support on clinical issues. About us
