The post holder will work within the growing therapy team which includes a head of therapies, supportive clinical leads, a band 8a respiratory clinical specialist and a team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists and rehabilitation support workers. You will manage a varied caseload of acute patients including those requiring acute respiratory management, ICU step down care, post surgery and post amputation. You will lead the early rehabilitation of amputee patients on the wards and see them through their rehabilitation journey as outpatients. Main duties of the job

Qualifications
Diploma/Degree in Physiotherapy Member of the Health and Care Professions Council Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy Experience
Substantial relevant post registration experience as a Senior Physiotherapist Post registration experience in respiratory physiotherapy for patients with multi-pathologies and complex needs, including ICU and tracheostomy management and weaning Documented evidence of CPD, in accordance with HCPC recommendations Experience of working as part of a team multiprofessional/agency Experience in providing advice, supervision, appraisals, training and support to more junior staff, support staff and students Experience of sole working as part of an out of hours emergency service Experience of discharge planning Experience of audit/research Experience of working in the NHS or similar Skills and knowledge
