Main duties of the job
As a Band 6 Specialist Physiotherapist, you will work autonomously within a dedicated team to provide advanced physiotherapy assessments, diagnosis, and treatments. This role will enable you to: Deliver high-quality physiotherapy care, from assessment to treatment and discharge planning, using evidence-based practices. Provide specialist advice and education to patients, carers, and multidisciplinary teams. Lead on clinical practice initiatives to elevate the profile of the service. Supervise, mentor, and support junior staff and undergraduate physiotherapy students. Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure adherence to HCPC standards. Work across Orthopaedic In-patient Wards and MSK Outpatients, with opportunities for cross-site collaboration. Person Specification
Experience
Proven postgraduate experience, particularly in Orthopaedics and MSK. Strong clinical reasoning, analytical, and judgmental skills for complex cases. Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to team collaboration. A commitment to continuous professional development and patient-centred care. Qualifications
BSc in Physiotherapy or equivalent with HCPC registration. Disclosure and Barring Service Check
