Physiotherapist - Trafford Crisis Response Team Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust We are looking for an experienced and motivated static B6 Physiotherapist to join our supportive, dynamic Crisis Response Team in Trafford.

The Crisis Team is part of South Manchester Community Response Service which also includes Discharge to Assess and Community IV team. This is an exciting time to be part of our integrated multi-disciplinary and multi-agency team providing specialist rapid assessment and interventions to our local population. Our progressive working environment manages crisis on a daily basis, providing a 7-day, extended hours, urgent and timely response to referrals from community and acute colleagues, and directly from the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS). As a member of the Crisis Response Team you will work closely with highly trained advanced clinical practitioners as well as the wider MDT, supporting service users to be treated in the community.

Rapid assessment and community intervention from Crisis Response helps to support adults for up to 48 hours with health or social care needs at home, and preventing unnecessary A&E attendances. Your clinical skillset will contribute to people being able to remain safely and supported in their own homes.

Person Specification Qualifications

Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy

HCPC Registration

Evidence of relevant post registration training / CPD

Clinical educator

Member of CSP

Experience

2 years experience as a band 5 in core clinical areas

Experience of timely assessments and developing and delivering care plans to meet these needs

Supervision and education of less experienced staff, students or assistants ensuring safe working practices

Experience of working collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team

Community experience

Previous Band 6 experience

Experience of working in urgent care service or similar

Knowledge

Knowledge of current health policy and relevance to the delivery of health care service.

Knowledge and understanding of complex medical, social and psychological needs of older adults.

Knowledge of evidence base practice

Knowledge of clinical governance and its implications for practice

Knowledge of managing difficult situations and conflict resolution

Ability to comprehend and work within Trust policies of data protection, equal opportunities and health and safety

Awareness of the political / national situation

Personal Qualities

Able to work as a team member

Flexible attitude to change and new ways of working

Valid UK driving licence and access to a car on daily basis

General good health and evidence of a good attendance record

DBS Clearance at an enhanced level
