Job Description Physiotherapy Assistant / Technician

Duchy Hospital - Truro

Part Time - 25 hours

The Physiotherapy Department are looking to recruit a part time Physiotherapy Assistant / Technician. We operate a 7 day Physiotherapy Service so weekend work will be incorporated. This clinical role will also include administration duties. You will be required to assist the qualified Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapist with delegated duties and independent clinical work as per competencies. Other duties will include cleaning and re-ordering of equipment, assisting with audits, stock taking, typing, producing patient information and general department admin. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who will be keen to progress within the department. Training and support will be provided for the right candidate. Our specialties include: Elective orthopaedics – inpatient and daycase Musculoskeletal Outpatients Hand Therapy Essential criteria include: Good written and verbal communication skills Good computer skills Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required NVQ Level 3 equivalent or higher qualification in a health or rehabilitation subject (or willing to work towards this) There is a requirement for a flexible approach to rostering and the ability to work a full range of shifts including weekends and bank holidays.
