Playground Games is looking for Pipeline Technical Artist to join our talented Forza Horizon team here in Leamington Spa on a contract basis.

As a Pipeline Technical Artist, you will collaborate across multiple disciplines acting as a bridge between art and engineering teams. You will be responsible for extending and improving our in-house digital content pipeline & tools. This is a contract role based at our state-of-the-art facilities in Royal Leamington Spa. We have a hybrid work model in place with a minimum of 3 days a week in studio. Relocation assistance is available if required. What you’ll do:

Take ownership of our export tools within our in-house digital content pipeline. Take responsibility of our game world’s performance by creating tools and processes to ensure the best possible balance between quality and cost. Identify bottlenecks and promote best practices for authoring art content to help our artists do their best work. What you’ll bring:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with building user friendly digital content creation (DCC) tools and pipelines. Proficiency in Python or similar language, ideally with experience creating scripts for 3ds Max. C++/C# proficiency is a bonus. Effective collaborator with growth mindset and desire to help others to do their best work. Strong verbal and digital communication skills. Comfortable discussing rendering, memory, lighting, animation, and other art-related topics. Ability to debug and write clean and performant code. Programming degree is a bonus.
