Piping Detail Design Engineer
Are you an experienced Piping Detail Design Engineer looking for a new challenge based on a Permanent or Contract (Inside IR35) basis, based in Glasgow?
This role will involve working on naval marine design projects for both defence and commercial marine vessels. Undertaking a defined range of detail design piping activities in line with our company processes.
The role involves piping spatial integration, requiring knowledge of mechanical systems, material selections, pipe supports, and human factors in layouts. You will engage with technical focal points, communicate issues, and propose solutions. Ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery and adherence to quality standards is crucial. Additionally, you will identify cost savings and manage changes, ensuring the technical quality of your output and supporting team development.
You will produce 3D CAD models and drawings, provide engineering evidence for design decisions, and track quality and cost performance.
Minimum Requirements:
Degree qualified (other qualifications considered)
Experience in marine engineering or complex engineering domains
Proficiency in tools like Windchill and Foran
Excellent communication skills
Knowledge of Health and Safety and regulatory requirements
