Brief Overview This is a fantastic opportunity for a Planner to join a fantastic specialist building envelope specialist sub-contractor. Package £50 to £60k About our Client My client is a Building envelope specialist sub-contractor who works in the new build market. They work on projects up to £4 million in value. They have an excellent reputation within this sector and are actively looking for a Planner to join their team. Duties & Responsibilities Creating, maintaining and reviewing a programme of work (both in pre-contract and post-contract stages). Producing progress reports and revising programmes and forecasts for team members using planning/programme software (Microsoft Project or Asta). Breaking large projects down into phases of development. Using project management tools to plan timeframes. Working with Estimators to calculate the resources needed for a project. Planning contingency programmes in case timeframes change. Meeting with contractors and suppliers to discuss and review programme issues. Demonstrating knowledge of construction (mainly with roofing and façade works). Working between office-based staff and site-based staff to ensure consistency on programmes and sequences. Producing procurement/design programmes in line with agreed construction programmes. Critical reviews of programmes for Extension of Time Requests, identifying delays, hold-ups and additional works. Basic understanding of requirements for Extension of Times/Compensation Events to be accurately reflected within programmes. About the Candidate Knowledge of English. Able to work well with others. Analytical thinking skills. Excellent verbal communication skills. Persistence and determination. Ambition and a desire to succeed. Business management skills. Able to use a computer and the main software packages competently (e.g. Microsoft Project). Points of Appeal Great company to work for. Progression within the company. Interesting projects.
