Role Overview and Responsibilities

Introduction The Planner will be responsible for Order Book delivery and maintaining the associated production schedules. A key element of this role is to review Operational performance and efficient planning systems to meet inventory and delivery targets. Key Responsibilities Liaise with CAM team to determine customer requirements Develop and maintain production schedule in MRP Update inventory and manage stock levels Establish strong relationships and provide world-class levels of service to internal customers. Drive improved performance based on measurable KPIs Identify opportunities to improve communications and processes both internally and externally Input and validate demand and supply profile for Sales, Inventory and Operations planning Always demonstrate safe behaviour, and ensure yourself and others in your working areas are safe and not exposed to significant risk Maintain MRP to ensure alignment between material position and production capability/schedule. Review production orders for proper time keeping, material issue, and BOM accuracy Ensure correct setting of MRP planning parameters Plan, coordinate and control interdepartmental activity within CAM, quality assurance, manufacturing, procurement, engineering, production and logistics Establish efficient planning production systems to reduce costs and improve efficiency Accountable for meeting Job delivery and Inventory targets Review shortages with purchasing Manage MRP schedule messages Review internal and external holds on orders to expedite release Review outstanding Permits and concessions Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

Core Requirements Experienced in Aerospace or similar industry preferable. Experience in working in low volume, high product mix, build-to-print environments and design to spec environments Excellent communication skills and demonstrable experience of effective negotiation and influencing skills for win-win outcomes. Ability to thrive under pressure and deliver against deadlines. Proactive change management experience A strong working knowledge of MS Office applications, particularly Excel is desirable to this role. Task / Achievement focused Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
