Planner required by a family-run Mid-Ulster-based construction contractor. Your new company Hays Belfast are proud to be representing an award-winning family run contractor in their search for an experienced Planner. With 40 years of experience in the industry and a combined experienced team across multiple sectors of construction, your new employer is a diverse company, providing solutions for public and private sectors and have completed a range of projects across housing, education, healthcare and transport sectors. Based out of their headquarters in Mid-Ulster while also having offices across the UK and fantastic future works secured, they are now seeking to expand their headcount. Your new role As a Construction Planner, you will play a crucial role in the planning and scheduling of our construction projects. You will work closely with project managers, site managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that all project plans are developed, maintained, and communicated effectively. Your primary goal will be to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standards. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following: Developing detailed project schedules and plans. Monitoring project progress and updating schedules as needed. Coordinating with project managers and site managers to ensure alignment with project goals. Identifying potential delays and developing mitigation strategies. Preparing and presenting progress reports to stakeholders. Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and project specifications. Analysing project data and providing insights for continuous improvement. What you'll need to succeed To succeed in this role, you will need to have previous experience within a similar role at a similar level ideally with 3+ years of experience. Ideally proficient in the use of Microsoft Project & Asta with a proven track record of use during past projects. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with excellent organisational and time-management abilities, are essential. You will need effective communication and interpersonal skills, along with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating project risks. Relevant qualifications in construction management, engineering, or a related field are also required.
